Glass Fibre Production live @ JEC 19

For the first time in JEC history, the ITA produced glass fibres live at the JEC on its newly developed 7-Filament induction heated glass fibre drawing station. Years of planning and designing led to an extraordinary showcase of the new machine at the JEC. The newly constructed induction heated glass fibre production line allows for great flexibility and agility in research. Key features include:

With customer R&D work in mind, this machine was constructed to allow for rapid testing of new concepts and ideas. The modular design allows for great customization, while the induction system allows for a significantly faster operation. R&D projects can therefore be conducted faster and at reduced cost on a technical scale. Our 203-filament bushing can subsequently be used for scale up to a semi-industrial scale.
